Today is the most delightfully cold and dreary fall day. It is one of those delicious, hoodie sweatshirt, fat jeans, and chai tea kind of days that don't come very many times during the year. Despite the chilly rain my friend Ileana and I went to Kathryn Albertson park to partake in a brown bag lunch and some amateur photography (I'm much more amateur than she is by the way-this girl has some mad skills!). The sun was hidden by the clouds, but the season is at such a turning point that the brilliance of seasonal change couldn't be stopped. The trees lacked the bright red we were hoping to see, but we were pleasantly surprised to see everything from yellows that nearly glow to a deep royal purple leaf entangled in some pond reeds. Here are just a few photos of our afternoon. Enjoy!

Red leaves

Ileana, master photographer and organizer extraordinaire!

Lillypads! No frogs, but wouldn't that have been adorable?

Yellow tree-its so much brighter in person!

Ahh, Fall time in a climate that actually gets temperatures low enough to change the leaves... Lucky! I'm super jealous.
So beautiful - I miss that park! You AND your friend are wonderful photographers, I am sure! ;)
